Hello there!
Here's another microdose of interesting things I enjoyed this week--written by me, Raad—CEO of LawTrades.
1. A new feature we launched 🚀
We pushed some code that will allow us (LawTrades) to periodically offer you (the customer) promotions or discounts off of your legal fees. To celebrate, we’re covering the service fee for your first purchase. So if your invoice is $1,000, you’ll instantly save around $75. I’ve already applied it to your proposal or invoice if you’re a first time customer—just log in to see it. If you haven’t sent a request yet, now would be a good time to get that going since I’m not sure how long we’ll have this up for. If you tried it, reply back and let me know if it worked properly!
2. A graphic novel I'm reading 📖
Warning: this series is unputdownable.
3. A tweet I learned from 🤔
Josh Elman on Onboarding Users
One of the greatest minds in product shares why onboarding users the right way is so important. It’s not what you say to your users, it’s how you made them feel.
4. A purchase I'm (still) enjoying 🛹
There are very few things in life that can bring you pure joy. Riding my boosted board on a hot summer day in NYC is one of them.
5. A flowchart I’m re-visiting 🔁
This flow chart will help you answer the question "how should I handle my debt / finances / money?"
6. A quote I'm pondering 🌳
Most people don’t know why they’re doing what they’re doing. They imitate others, go with the flow, and follow paths without making their own.
They spend decades in pursuit of something that someone convinced them they should want, without realizing that it won’t make them happy.
Don’t be on your deathbed someday, having squandered your one chance at life, full of regret because you pursued little distractions instead of big dreams.
You need to know your personal philosophy of what makes you happy and what’s worth doing.
