Hello,
Here's another microdose of things I enjoyed this week--written by me, Raad—CEO of LawTrades.
1. An internal memo I read
Bill Gates going off on the downloading experience of Movie Maker in 2003 through an internal company memo. I love how much he cared about the user experience even when Microsoft was valued at ~$500B at the time.
2. A tweet I tweeted

3. An episode I watched
A simple 24m overview on how computer code and programming works.
4. A track I'm listening to
Apple Music / Spotify / YouTube
Maxence Cyrin - Where is my mind
5. An article I read
The Gross Margin Problem: Lessons for Tech-Enabled Startups
Traditional software based businesses had perfect gross margins because their main expense was just writing that first version. But as software began eating the rest of the world, physical-world services blended with software to create new tech-enabled business models (ahem, LawTrades) that has COGS. This is great for the world but bad if you’re the founder that relies on VC money to subsidize negative contribution margins.
6. An article I wrote
In life, you have two choices. You can move horizontally— from one thing to another or vertically—from one moment and then deeper into that moment.
